9 Months Old

My beautiful little girl turned 9 months old on Saturday. Another month grown and more skills learned. She's growing and learning so fast these days.

Since last month, she has pulled herself up to a stand, claps and pats her legs, walks all over while holding onto someone's hands and cruises ALL of the furniture (including her crib). She's gotten four new teeth and a fifth one has just broken through the gums for a total of seven teeth. She's bitten me several times...we're working on stopping that.

She can feed herself a couple of bites off of a spoon, but currently prefers to eat only finger foods. Yogurt is the only exception! Even her vocabulary is increasing. She can say "mama", "papa", "ja", "nein" and "hi". I'm pretty sure she said "all done" once, but I'm not positive. I've also started teaching her a little bit of sign language. She signs "more", "milk" and "all done". We're also working on "please" and "thank you". She also likes to climb now.

My Girl is 8 Months Old!

Today my little bean is officially 8 months old. This past month has been a whir of sleepless nights, teeth, sitting up on her own, scooting along on her butt, learning to say "Papa", crawling and finally pulling to a stand! I cannot believe she has learned as much as she has in just one month!

We've baby proofed the apartment and Alexa has taught us that there is actually no such thing as baby proofing because she can pull all the rubber "safety corners" off without a problem. We have lowered her bed and she showed us that she doesn't mind because now she can stand up in her crib!

Babyland is now the place where her toys sleep at night, she doesn't sit still for even a minute, so there is no use thinking she will stay and play in Babyland anymore. I'm so curious to see what she will learn to do next. Every single day in the last week she has hit a major milestone. Now things are getting super exciting! (And totally exhausting as well!)

7 Months Old

Today, my baby girl is seven months old. How is that possible?! The time has just flown by. I looked at her yesterday while she was sitting in her stroller and she looked SO BIG! She can sit up on her own now. She scoots around on her butt, slower than molasses, but she's moving nonetheless. She hasn't quite gotten crawling down, but does like to move backwards and in circles when she's laying on her belly.

Loves to try new things. Likes to pick the crumbs up off of her highchair and is really investigating how all of her toys work. She is so amazing!

Blink and Time Flies

Today, my little queen bean turns 6 months old. SIX MONTHS OLD! How the heck did that happen?! I'm pretty sure she was just born like a week ago. The time has flown! Before I know it we will be celebrating her first birthday. She has grown so much in the past few months. She's sitting up and playing on her own these days. She can scoot backwards like a pro (even though she yells while she's doing it!). She's been getting up on her hands and knees a lot the last few days, but she's not sure what to do next. Crawling is going to be here before I know it. I swear, I remember rocking in the glider with her, my mom was laying on the bed in her room and we were talking about how much she had grown already...she was three weeks old at that point. I blinked. I blinked and now my girl is a sitting, scooting, growling, car eating, beef stew munching, sippy cup throwing, little girl! I am seriously amazed by her every day. I could not be more in love or more obsessed with this little doll baby! Here are a couple of pictures from our 6 month photo shoot. Annnnd a picture of her playing in the sandbox for the first time!
